Então não vês que és minha oração, meu próprio credo?
Não vês que não passo de um simples arremedo
De tudo o que dizes, fazes ou és?
Que para mim és oceanos, tempestades e marés,
Nessa resignação que te busca e que de ti se ausenta,
Nessa triste elegia, nessa insanidade em ti, que me atormenta?

O que tenho de ti, senão a veleidade deseperançosa,
O espelho baço, a crueldade bondosa
De me consolar sem me ofertar esperanças,
De relembrar sem me trazer lembranças,
De manietar-me em cintilantes algemas,
De manter-me prisioneiro em liberdades extremas?

Então não vês que também sou de ti a essência?
Que se sou teu píncaro, sou também tua decadência,
Tuas verdades, tua busca e teu caminho,
Que sou teu vôo, tua árvore e teu ninho?
Sou de ti a vida, a busca, a ausência e a ansiedade...
Sou parte de ti, sou tua impermanência e tua eternidade...

Can’t you see that you are my prayer, my own belief?
Can’t you see I am no more than a simple grief
Of everything you say, you are or you make?
Can’t you see that you are my oceans, storms and awake,
In this resignation that seek you, and from you is absent,
In this sad elegy, in this insanity, you are my preachment?

What do I have from you, unless the hopelessness,
The spleen mirror, the kind cruelty where I walk aimless,
that comfort me without offering me hope,
To remind me without bring me remembrances, where I grope
Clamping down on me with shining handcuffs,
To keep me prisoner in extreme liberties, like great bluffs?

Can’t you see I'm also the your essence?
That if I am your pinnacle, I am also your decadence,
Your truth, your search and your gest,
That I'm your flight, your tree and your nest?
I am your own  life, your search, your lack and your anxiety...
I'm part of you, I am your impermanence and eternity ...
