ESQUADRÃO ANTI-BULLYING / ANTI-BULLYING SQUAD
Enfim, uma boa notícia!
Sempre me preocupei com a escalada da violência, que grassa pelo mundo. Este parece ser um fenômeno que cresce na mesma proporção em que a sociedade se individualiza. É um problema de difícil solução porque a origem da violência tem sua raiz no enfraquecimento dos valores familiares oriundos exatamente dessa individualização. Agora, entretanto, de uma escola da periferia de São Paulo vem uma boa notícia, e uma possível solução. Porque não? Espero que o mundo abrace a idéia, que, pelo menos lá, tem dado muito certo.

Ao perceber que um amigo estava sendo ofendido - de novo - por termos como "bicha" e "viadinho", Amanda Soares do Nascimento, 13, resolveu partir para a briga. O grupo agressor revidou e, para não apanhar, Amanda e o amigo sairam correndo. Depois, eles tiveram de ser "escoltados" por um professor para evitar qualquer tipo de vingança. A cena, que era comum há um ano, virou caso raro.

Atualmente, vítimas e agressores fazem parte do mesmo grupo e divulgam pela escola a importância da tolerância e do respeito pela diferença. Dois estudantes de cada classe são escolhidos para integrar esse tipo de esquadrão contra o bullying e outras violências na escola. A ideia é resultado da combinação de dois programas -- o JCC (Jovens Construindo a Cidadania), promovido pela PM (Polícia Militar) e outro, da secretaria estadual de Educação, que institui a figura do professor-mediador [de conflitos] -- por meio de dois profissionais: a professora-mediadora Fabiana Laurentino da Silva e o policial militar Fausto Alves Ramalho.Pode crerOs alunos desenvolvem discussões, produção de propagandas e apresentações culturais. Para pôr fim aos maus-tratos, o teatro e a música mostraram-se bastante eficientes. O funk, ritmo apreciado por muitos, ganhou uma letra específica para o tema, redigida pelos próprios alunos. Diz um trecho: “a amizade é muito boa, estamos na escola para aprender. O bullying é muito errado e nisso você pode crer”.
Além de acalmar os ânimos, o contato com a arte e o fato de encontrar meios de se expressar revelou alguns talentos. Gustavo Soares da Rocha, 15, por exemplo, é o centro das atenções com as músicas que toca para difundir ideias de tolerância. Antes do programa, o garoto era o terror da escola -- com histórico de depredação do prédio e brigas com os colegas. "[Fazia aquilo] para fazer graça e ganhar respeito dos outros", conta. "Mas tem outras maneiras de fazer isso", explica.
Até agosto deste ano, o grupo se reunia em horário de aula, mas passou a fazer parte do conjunto de atividades extracurriculares. Os professores e a direção avaliaram que os estudantes não podiam abrir mão desse tempo em classe, apredendo as matérias do currículo.
De agressor a exemploCombinando as iniciativas, Ramalho e Fabiana têm trabalhado para tornar os causadores dos maus-tratos em combatentes da violência. Eles aproveitam o potencial de liderança e mobilização dos antigos agressores, usando essas características para evitar o bullying.
Maria Luiza Goes, 13, já experimentou os dois lados. Pernambucana, a menina debochava dos colegas estudiosos, perseguindo-os e chamando-os de "nerds" quando morava no Nordeste. Quando chegou à capital paulista, ela passou à posição oposta: “Fui chamada de nerd várias vezes”, conta. Depois de ter entrado no grupo, ela, que já havia se arrependido do que fazia na antiga escola, tenta passar sua experiência aos outros para que a história não se repita.
A história de Laiane Lopes Neres, 12, é parecida: ela já foi vítima e agressora. Ao representar uma personagem que se enforca por causa das seguidas agressões, a aluna se emociona e chora ao lembrar dos sentimentos que vieram à tona. “Nunca imaginei como seria estar numa situação assim”, afirma.DiálogoO grupo sabe de cor o que é bullying: “agressões físicas ou verbais repetidas que podem levar à depressão e até ao suicídio”. A definição, burocrática, fica outras cores com casos como o de Mateus da Conceição, 13, que fala pelos cotovelos e não tem problemas para se expressar em público. Quem o vê hoje em dia não imagina que já sofreu depressão, parou até de comer e cogitou o suicídio. “Era tão humilhado que perdi a vontade de tudo”, conta. Para descontar a tristeza que sentia, resolveu atazanar um colega. “Puxava o cabelo dele, batia até deixar a cara roxa. Hoje vejo que coisa horrível eu fiz”, conta.
Para esses alunos, o grupo anti-bullying representou o fim de uma longa e triste história. “Agora sei que nunca deveria ter partido para a agressão”, diz Amanda. A intenção é justamente essa: substituir a violência pelo diálogo na resolução dos conflitos entre as crianças e os jovens -- conflitos esses que sempre vão existir.
“Queremos também mostrar à vítima que ela tem com quem contar dentro da escola”, diz Fabiana que sempre tenta colocar agressores e vítimas frente a frente para ajudá-los a resolver os conflitos. Muitas dessas duplas acabam se tornando amigos, como é o caso de Juliana Neres, 15, e Gustavo Soares da Rocha, 15. O garoto costumava xingá-la "por causa dos cadarços coloridos que [ela] usava". Atualmente, eles não se desgrudam e têm o hábito de realizar longos duelos ao estilo Harry Potter.
A turma está pensando agora em promover uma passeata pelo bairro para promover a luta contra o bullying. Eles querem até chamar uma fanfarra para animar a caminhada. Também negociam uma participação no programa “Altas Horas”, da Rede Globo, para mostrar o trabalho desenvolvido. “Vamos levar a discussão a outras escolas e até a países estrangeiros, pois o bullying não é um problema só do Brasil”, diz um dos alunos, apoiado em seguida pelos outros. Finally, good news! I'm always worried about the escalating of violence that runs around the world. This seems to be a phenomenon that growing in the same proportion in which society becomes individualized. It is a difficult problem because the source of violence is rooted in the weakening of family values that comes from exactly of this individualization. Now, however, from a school on the outskirts of São Paulo comes a good news, and, perhaps, a possible solution. Why not? I hope the world embraces the idea. At least there, it has worked very well.

It's break time in the state school journalist David Nasser in Capão Redondo, São Paulo. Realizing that a friend was being offended - again - for terms like "fag", Amanda Soares do Nascimento, 13, decided to fight. The aggressor,group retaliated and Amanda and her friend must to ran away. Then they had to be "escorted" by a teacher to avoid any kind of revenge. The scene, which was common a year ago, became a rare case.
In Pernambuco State, Maria Luiza Goes was the most popular school. He moved to Sao Paulo and has suffered bullying.
Currently, victims and aggressors belong to the same group and disclose the importance of tolerance and respect for difference. Two students from each class are chosen to integrate this type of squad against bullying and other violence at school. From aggressor to example of good behavior
Combining efforts, Ramalho and Fabiana have worked to make the perpetrators of abuse in fighting against violence. They harness the leadership potential and mobilization of old offenders, using these features to prevent bullying.
Maria Luiza Goes, 13, has experienced both sides. She was born in Pernambuco (Northeast of Brazil), and used to debauch of classmates who liked to study, following them and calling them "nerds" when he lived in the Northeast. The group knows exactly what bullying is: "Verbal or physical aggression repeated so many times that can lead to depression and even suicide." Mateus da Conceicão, 13. Who see him today can not imagine that he has suffered depression already, stopped eating and even thought in suicide. "It was so humiliated that I lost all desire," he says. To revenge he decided to pester a colleague. "I pulled his hair, and beat up till his face become purple. Now I see that horrible thing I did, "he says.
For these students, the anti-bullying group represented the end of a long and sad story. "Now I know I never should have gone to the aggression," says Amanda. The purpose is this: replace violence with dialogue in resolving conflicts between children and young people – no matter if these conflicts will always exist.
"We also want to show the victim that she has mates in the school," says Fabiana who always tries to put victims and offenders face to face to help them to solve their conflicts. Many of these double end up becoming friends, as is the case of Juliana Neres, 15, and Gustavo Soares da Rocha, 15. The boy used to scold her "because of the colorful laces that she used." Currently, they do not detach and have the habit of long duels on Harry Potter’s style.
The group is now thinking to promote a march through the neighborhood to spread out the fight against bullying. They want to call a band to enliven the walk. They are also negotiating a participation in a famous program of the Globo network, to show the changes they got . "Let's take the discussion to other schools and even foreign countries, because bullying is not a problem only in Brazil," says one student, immediately supported by others.
