CRISTAL, A GOTINHA ESPECIAL
JB Xavier

CRISTAL, THE SPECIAL DROPLET
JB XAVIER

Once upon a time, over two thousand years ago, a pretty little drop of water called Crystal, who lived in a beautiful cloud. She was one of the millions of drops of water playing in the sky every day, and as a cloud, they strolled around the world.

When Crystal and her friends played, they did get the clouds look like many things, such as ships, birds and other animals, and anything else that people down there on earth would want to see.

Crystal was still very tiny, and like all children, dreamed of being very special to people.

She had many friends droplets, like her. Some were large and heavy, and, occasionally, fell like rain. Others were angry and spiteful, and, when irritated formed large floods that flooded people's homes and often drown people.

But there were also the delicate little friends, who fell like soft rain, slowly watering the fields where people plant their food. Many others were quiet and liked to help people. These ones, when they came down like rain, slowly filling the rivers, lakes, and quenched the thirst from all that were alive on earth.

But Crystal was different from all her friends because she felt herself different. In fact, she did not know why she was different, not even sure what she wanted to be one day. But she knew very well what she did not want to be. She knew she does not want to be evil like her friends, who tumbled over the world and caused pain and sorrow. Maybe she just want to be like her little friends, the droplets of drizzle. Even so, she was in doubt when she heard people complain that thin rain that often perturbed her life.

She wanted to be something different, and for wanting to be different, she began to feel herself different and, how she feel herself different, he began to act differently and how  she act differently, she began to be noticed by everyone. Thus, all her friends drops, and also his friends, the wind, the sun and the birds began to realize she was really a different droplet.

And, how she was different, when the sun came out from behind the mountains, lit her so special, too different, what made her shine among all the other droplets, like a beautiful diamond.

She was very happy when the wind took her to tour across distant places, and showed her the various places where she knew one day she would fall.

Flying over the desert, she was very scared of one day fall on those hot sands, and dry without helping anyone or doing anything to improve the world.

But, when she flying over waterfalls, small streams meek and quiet, she dreamed of one day, perhaps, be part of those quiet waters and can give life to the fish that swam there.

And so Crystal grew up dreaming of one day having a different destination. As she was sincere in his thoughts, all his friends were very fond of her, and she soon became known as the best friend of all who lived in heaven.

One day, Crystal and her friends were flying in a hot and dry country, where lived people who rode camels. It was a very poor place and Crystal was saddened by the poverty that could see down there.

At that moment, she forgot the streams and forests where he wanted to fall, and thinking more of others than in herself, wished with all her heart to fall into one of the large ponds that people have built, hoping the rain would not come. She wanted to be able to quench the thirst of the children who saw down there, hungry and sad.

Cristal already heard that when we are sincere in our thoughts and really want a thing, that thing happens.

A quiet afternoon was almost over, when the sun began slowly to fade, losing its shine and giving rise to a color that was gradually taking over the entire sky.

Crystal had never seen that color in your entire life. The sky turned pink, and some lightning began to glow on the horizon. It was a storm, she thought, and she was terrified of being dragged to the ground, where she could hurt people.

But the storm did not come. Instead, a great yellow glare lit the sky and Crystal began hearing a music very, very beautiful. She is delighted by that song and did not even know if I was dreaming or not when a light wind coming from the flapping of wings very large, bring her back to reality.

It was an angel that descends from the heights of heaven, calmed down everything around him, and carefully removing the other chips, went over to that shone between them all: Crystal!

This angel was more beautiful than anything that Crystal had ever seen.He gently took her in his hands, and when the night was about to begin, flapped his wings and fell to the ground, flying down by a road of light.

Crystal had never imagined down to earth with no other droplets, friends of her, to form rain. She was surprised, but I was not scared, because the delicacy of the angel surrounded her with a love she had never experienced.

The angel descended upon the poor city and went to a house even poorer where there was a carpenter working on wood. His name was Joseph. The angel through the walls and went as far as the Joseph’s wife, Mary, who was sewing some old clothes.

whole house lit up with the presence of the angel, and floating near the floor, he said, with his beautiful and musical voice:

Mary! Blessed are all who love thee. Blessed are all who are called by thy name, because you have chosen beings for the mother of the son of God.Your son will be acclaimed throughout the kingdom of the Lord, and thou shall be forever remembered as the mother of all mothers, who brought for earth the world's redemption.

Then the angel put his hand on the brow of Mary, and said:

"Blessed is the fruit of thy womb and blessed shall be thou among women, forever.

Crystal did not have time to understand what happened. Only saw herself sprouting from the Mary’s eyes and rolling down her face, which came off as a shining tear of happiness. The first of many hot tears that Mary still cry for his beloved son.
